She Was Here is a new play that reflects inherited joys, losses, and longing and unfolds within the butter-colored walls of an Austin home during the Covid lockdown. Mother and daughter, Amanda and Gabi, stumble upon a hidden box, sparking a journey through time. As they play a game of discovery to unearth forgotten treasures within the house, stories and connections from the past reveal themselves. With humor and heart, the play explores cultural identity, and the people and places that hold us.
